Iroko Column Bases
The staff at C&K pride themselves on
a willingness to take on unusual projects.
The above is such an example. In
this case a West End client had a pair
of columns to the
front of his property which had
deteriorated over many
years.
To improve the appearance of the
entranceway, he wanted to replace the
bases but retain the columns. |

These were laminated from segments of Iroko to
build up the block.
The turning work was carried out
to a very high standard
by wood turner, Mr. Ray White.
The finished product was coated in a clear
sealant prior to delivery to site.
Derek Palmer said "This was probably
just the second time in the past 13 years
that we have manufactured such
items".
He went on to say "It could be another 13
years before we are asked again, but we
now have details on file in readiness!"
